REDI Analysis Releases the Litigation ToolKit v7.

Ottawa – August 18, 2004--REDI Analysis Inc. announces immediate availability of the Litigation ToolKit v.7, a business application that provides a law firm or law enforcement agency with powerful tools for litigation support and evidence development. The Litigation ToolKit offers a complete set of tools that will consolidate case and document management requirements into one application which can be shared by the litigation/law enforcement team. Practical tools have been developed to support:

Tracking cases and related case events.
Developing an analytical framework for evidence development.
Controlling, analyzing and distributing document productions and exhibits.
Controlling and analyzing transcripts.
Building and distributing the “record” consisting of pleadings, correspondence and other case related documents.
Collaboration and information sharing.
Reporting and digesting of analysis.

The ToolKit has been designed to bring powerful tools into the hands of the knowledge professionals in this important market segment. It has been developed to provide intuitive tools that do not need hours of training letting the team get started using the ToolKit to get their case ready.

Litigation specialist, Peter Roy, who recently left a large law firm to form his own litigation practice, Roy, Elliott, Kim, O’Connor, has used the ToolKit for over seven years.

“The ToolKit has been an essential part of our litigation strategy. Its tools let us ‘filet the whale’, efficiently and effectively uncovering the facts and evidence so that we can best advise and represent our clients. Version 7 brings new powerful tools, a new elegant and intuitive interface that we can apply to our business without having to shut down for training.”

Litigation and law enforcement investigation teams face a number of challenges and have hoped that technology could provide a solution. Some have tried ad hoc solutions cobbled together using several desktop applications. Others are using old litigation support software and are tied to this software publisher’s new release schedule, hoping wanted features will appear. The Litigation ToolKit has been developed by lawyers and law enforcement professionals and has been customized to meet specific needs associated with developing information into evidence. Today’s release represents a consolidation of these features and new features that can now be offered as a result of the recent release of FileMaker Pro 7, the ToolKit’s database engine. This release also reflects our collaboration with our clients who have told us that they do not have the time to learn another piece of software and need simple to learn tools. This always been a prime design objective and we have continued to streamline our tools to reduce training time.

Off the shelf, The Litigation ToolKit will provide a one stop solution. However, unlike other litigation support software developers, we also offer timely and cost effective customization services. We can quickly add new tools and features to the ToolKit and have a proven track record in doing so. We would like to be part of the litigation team to be called upon as required.

In 1996, REDI Analysis released the first version of the Litigation ToolKit. It was initially developed based on its founder’s 20 years of experience building, and supporting the litigation of, large criminal antitrust cases. The ToolKit has clients in a number of law firms and enforcement agencies including site licenses with large law firms in Toronto. The ToolKit has been used in a number of significant cases in the areas of antitrust, class actions, security litigation, construction and constitutional challenges. REDI Analysis has also won awards for its FileMaker based application at the Competition Tribunal and was recently nominated for awards by its clients at Public Service Grievance Board and the Office of Employer Advisor.

The Litigation ToolKit v7 has been developed to make use of the new features and functionality offered by FileMaker Pro 7 from FileMaker Inc. FileMaker Pro is used by millions of individuals and workgroups around the world to be more productive and efficient. Business, education and government customers rely on FileMaker to manage people, projects, images, assets and other information.
