SimpleHighlight Plug-In to version 1.1 now available!

Prague, CZ, April 12, 2005. 24U Software has released version 1.1 of 24U SimpleHighlight Plug-In, the plug-in for highlighting text and rectangular areas with a user-defined color. This update brings support for transparency, source code for CodeWarrior, Visual Studio and XCode, and a few more improvements.

This version is an update to the copy distributed with FileMaker Developer 7.

What is new in the version 1.1?

   - Based on 24U FM Template 2.1
   - Added project for Visual Studio .NET 2003
   - Added project for CodeWarrior 9.4
   - Added project for XCode 1.1 and 1.5
   - X24uL_Highlight accepts color and style as optional parameters
   - X24uL_Highlight preserves original style of every single character
   - X24uL_SolidColor has new optional parameter to specify an opacity
   - X24uL_SolidColor now expects color as a result of the RGB function
     for consistency with FileMaker's built-in functions
   - X24uL_SolidColor now does not generate an unwanted gradient on
     Windows, the issue is solved by generating PICT instead of GIF
   - More C++ example functions for container data generation in
     X24uL_SolidColor

What is 24U SimpleHighlight Plug-In?

24U SimpleHighlight Plug-In is a sample FileMaker Plug-In project based on 24U FM Template 2.0. It was created thanks to the collaboration of 24U Software and New Millennium Communications, Inc., and is available for download, including source code, from both companies. It implements two color highlighting functions:

- X24uL_Highlight finds all occurrences of a search string in a text and highlights them with color and/or style as defined either in Preferences or via function parameters. Previous formatting of the text is preserved.

- X24uL_SolidColor generates a color rectangle using color, and optionally also opacity, specified in the function parameters. The resulting image can be placed directly into a container field via the plug-in.
