FileMaker Press Release
Security Book Update to Cover Changes in FileMaker Pro 8 and FileMaker Server 8
“We are pleased that Steven will be covering these changes in the
supplement,” said New Millennium CEO Danny Mack, “and we encourage
developers to learn about them at their earliest
opportunity.” The supplement will be sent automatically at no
additional cost to all purchasers of FileMaker Security: The Book,
available for purchase on-line at http://www.filemakersecurity.com
and through Amazon.
“These changes are important ones, and both developers and IS/IT
managers need to know about them,” said Blackwell.
“Especially important are changes in IWP authentication, in trusted
domain behavior with FileMaker Server 8, and in security planning
and management for solutions using Custom Menus. FileMaker,
Inc. has made considerable strides in strengthening important
security features, especially for FileMaker Server 8.”
The second supplement is slated for release in the late September
time frame and follows on the release in late August of Supplement
One that covered issues related to User Interface integrity, stored
site passwords, session based IWP credentials, and Single Source
Log-On.
