So you want to become a FileMaker 7 Certified Developer? Excellent! Here are the next steps:

  1. Start Developing in FileMaker 7 now

    • If you're not already using and developing in FileMaker 7, purchase now.
    • Increase your chances of passing the exam with direct hands-on experience with FileMaker 7 products.
  2. Get Professional Training

    • Take the FileMaker Professional Training Foundation Series II course—the most-comprehensive training available for FileMaker 7 products!
    • Training is recommended but not a prerequisite for certification.
    • Deepen your knowledge with instructor-led classroom training and course materials covering 455 pages of in-depth technical information, 13 training modules, presentation slides, demo files, exercises, and more. Learn more or sign up for training.
  3. Study FileMaker resources

    Take advantage of the wealth of resources available to increase your chances of passing the exam:
  4. Take the Exam: "Developer Essentials for FileMaker 7"

    The exam is 60 multiple-choice questions and takes approximately 1.5 hours to complete. If you're proficient in all these areas, you're ready to take the exam. Certification tests are currently being offered in over 3,000 Thomson Prometric testing locations worldwide. Exam cost US$150 US-Canada (or equivalency in other countries.)
