Next Generation Fertility

Next Generation Fertility Clinic Significantly Reduces its Administrative Burden

Next Generation Fertility is a fully accredited IVF clinic that aims to give couples the best chance of achieving pregnancy within a supportive environment. The clinic was established in 2005 and has eight locations across Sydney that offer monitoring, nursing and counselling services. Being a busy clinic, Next Generation Fertility decided to look for a database system that would reduce its administration costs and improve workplace efficiency.

After trialling many software packages, Next Generation Fertility Clinic decided that FileMaker Pro 9 was the easiest program to use and the best fit for the organisation. Artie Shahho, Next Generation Fertility’s Chief Software Architect, commented, “FileMaker was the only program that could guarantee every facet of our business would be looked after. We can write new functions very quickly and make updates which improve business efficiency.”

For Next Generation Fertility, FileMaker Pro 9 has helped streamline time consuming and costly administration processes including the registering, tracking and billing of clients, patient correspondence and updating clinical files. Artie continued, “We’ve incorporated a lot of functions that were previously done on paper into FileMaker and this has saved around 20% of our staff’s time. We have to produce Medicare reports daily and statement bills every month, with FileMaker we can generate these reports with one click—which is the kind of thing that used to take someone a whole day to do.”
