About Activation
FileMaker will introduce activation technology in upcoming versions of certain products.
What does Activation do?
Activation helps ensure you have a genuine copy of FileMaker software, and helps protect FileMaker, Inc. from illegal distribution of its software.
How does Activation work?
The activation process will be prompted the first time you launch select FileMaker applications. It will take just a few seconds to complete via the Internet, and there will be nopersonal information captured or transmitted during the process for individual licenses. For volume licenses, activation information will be linked to volume licensing agreements to ensure software is not activated more than the permitted number of times.
You may choose to activate your software over the phone by contacting Customer Assistance or your Volume Licensing Representative.
You will have 30 days to activate your software, after which time non-activated software will no longer function. Trial versions of select software will need to be activated prior to using the software.
